안녕하세요,

국진 지킴이입니다. 

1일 1글은 쓰자 마음 먹었지만, 좀처럼 쉽지가 않습니다. 

오늘 다시 초심으로 돌아가서 글쓰기를 시작하도록 하겠습니다. 

 

오늘의 글 제목: Nov every pandemic needs someone to blame. 

                           모든 팬데믹이 탓해야 하는 누군가가 필요한 것은 아니다. 

 

 

1.  A couple of months ago, my father called me to let me know that he had tested positive for the virus.

 

몇 달 전에 아버지께서 전화로 바이러스 검사 결과 양성이 나왔다고 전해주셨습니다.

 

 

 

2. He had been vaccinated and boosted,so I was not worried about this health, but I was frustrated. 

 

그는 예방접종과 부스터 샷을 맞았기 때문에 건강에 대한 걱정은 없었지만, 저는 좌절감을 느꼈습니다.

 

 

3. We transplant organs for those with liver failure after cirrhosis after years of alcohol abuse, with heart failure after decades of poor diet and little exercise. 

 

알코올 남용으로 인한 간경변증으로 간기능이 실패한 환자들에게는 간 이식을 시행하고, 장기적인 식이 부족과 운동 부족으로 인한 심장 기능 부전 환자들에게는 심장 이식을 시행합니다.

 

 

5. When we see patients with lung cancer, for instance, we mention whether they had a history of cigarette smoking. 

 

예를 들어 폐암 환자를 진료할 때, 담배 흡연 경력이 있는지 여부를 언급합니다.

 

6. Disease  that has no explanation in behavior is terrifying. It is a reminder that no matter what we do, no matter how careful we are, any of us could fall ill and die. 

 

행동으로 설명되지 않는 질병은 무서운 것입니다. 그것은 우리가 무엇을 하든, 얼마나 주의를 기울이든 상관없이 우리 중 누구든지 병에 걸리고 죽을 수 있다는 사실을 상기시켜줍니다.

 

7. There were health care workers who railed against the idea of offeing advanced and scarce resources like a lung bypass or transplantation to unvaccinated patients with life-threatening disease. 

 

생명을 위협하는 질병을 가진 비접종 환자들에게 폐 우회술이나 이식과 같은 고급 희소한 자원을 제공하는 아이디어에 반대하는 의료진들도 있었습니다.

 

8. As in the case of the patient with lung cancer, this knowledge would not affect treatment, but it did change the way we framed the story.

 

폐암 환자의 경우와 같이, 이러한 사실은 치료에 영향을 미치지 않지만, 이야기를 전달하는 방식을 변경했습니다.
